What about insulin pens? I have a box of 5 pens with the prescription on the box. Do I need a prescription on each pen?

Hi Laurie. So is it ok to pack liquid vitamins in checked luggage for international travel? (Munich). And the reason you donโ€™t put your prescriptions in checked bags is because they may be lost is that correct?

I've always brought all of my vitamin supplements and medications in the pill organizers and on the TSA website it says that you can do that. I have a hard copy of everything. Realistically are the TSA agents versed in what exactly every pill is what it looks like. Ironically the one time I did get stopped was when I brought my protein powder in a Ziploc bag that I put in the shape of a bottle because I didn't want to carry the giant tub of protein powder with me. They did end up screening it and I said to the woman this is what it is but I really appreciate the additional screening

The TSA rules are such a bunch of nonsense. So we cannot bring a big bottle of shampoo, even if the bottle is nearly empty, because it may be an explosive or something. But we can bring a big bottle of cough syrup or contact lens solution, because that could not be explosive or something. Bunch of deep thinkers, there at TSA.

Marijuana is illegal from the standpoint of federal law. Aviation is a federal entity. Thus, marijuana is illegal. You wonโ€™t just be โ€œreported.โ€ You will likely be arrested. This is even more the case in foreign country.

Hi. I just found you today. I like what you say, but please, please stop saying that you need to have a prescription on the medical container. It is a prescription label and NOT the actual prescription. You are going to make somebody (who is even just a bit dim) really stressed out when they argue with their pharmacist that the actual prescription has to be on the container.

Medication: what about keeping all my meds in my checked-in baggage, except a few in my purse if i need it on the flight? Keeping my paper prescription in my purse in case my checked-in luggage gets lost.

I just take my pills in very small "daily" ziplocks with the day marked on it. I have electronic copies of my prescriptions. If that ain't good enough, so be it.

Inhaler for asthma. Can't get a doctors appointment, so i have OTC. It's the only "liquid" I'd be taking through security in a personal bag. My other bag is checked.

Help me out, please. Hubby and I are going on a cruise in December. We will be flying to the destination port. (It is not an international flight) Itโ€™s been years since weโ€™ve flown (pre-pandemic). I normally pack our medications in daily pill bags. For example everything for breakfast in one bag (vitamins and prescriptions combined). Am I allowed to do that? As others have mentioned, our meds come in large bottles for a 90 day supply and the bottles are white, not the typical orange. Does my hubby need to keep out his diabetic testing kit when going through security? He just takes oral meds, no insulin

I'm so loving your videos, Laurie! Planning a trip to Europe this fall and figuring all of this out is causing more anxiety than I ever anticipated. I also haven't flown in a long time and am not great with technology, so just navigating the airport feels very daunting (using apps, doing things online, etc.). As for liquid medications – I use a generic form of Flonase (used to be Rx but now it's OTC); I'm assuming this will qualify as well? Thanks!

QUESTION: How can you attach the prescription to medication bottles? Once the prescription has been filled, the pharmacy keeps the prescription.

I can tell you my adopted sister Suzan is a left leg above the knee amputee and she will tell you every time that an amputee goes through the security the person will be pulled out of line and patted down, and they have these things they rub on the prosthesis to check for like residue of bombs or whatever but they CANNOT make an amputee take off the prosthesis it's against the law for them to do so!

When i went on holiday about 5 years back i was on methotrexate it luckily didnt need refrigerated but its fragile i took it in my bag. The security guy took the cap off to check it. Which made it unusable. Even his colleague was like what did you just do. I had to go 8 days without it ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I find this confusing. We have to bring all of our prescription bottles with us, with the pills inside? This seems like a big waste of space in my under-seat bag. I can fit all my prescriptions in one small daily dose container. A week worth of pills in each bottle, will likely get broken too. There has got to be a better way? I need to watch again because I just don't understand how that is going to work, carrying a big ziplock full of pill bottles in Europe…

Went to Italy last year, my wife and I had no problems with any of the prescriptions the security never even questioned us, she has 8 medications and I had 2. All were in original prescription bottles and in clear zip bags, I even had not legal in italy benadryl but nothing was said about it. We did not have the prescription on the bottle just the regular label.
