I’m Planning a Trip to Japan This November, and we have 3 kids under 5, I’m worried that our stroller might become a problem. Did you find it difficult moving around with your stroller? Or Was there easy access for your stroller?
take care of this heat weather season in Tokyo and other big cites not to get heat stroke. by the way , in my rural site where is at the middle of Shikoku area, it's being kept at 27 degrree to 18 degrees while the summer season beccuase this my rural site is at the highter place in shikoku. it's 1,300m from the sea level , but now I'm living in Tokyo. sometimes I was getting to back to my rural site to get cool air situation. anyway take care of this heat weather.
My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon in Japan on Thursday, 6/12/25. These tips are very applicable and helpful based on what we just experienced.
Please make sure to bring your trash with you all the way back to your accommodation unless the trash you throw away in a family mart or similar is from their store. Often frowned upon to throw things away in a place you are not purchasing from 🙂
It is all accurate. Been in Japan for 30 years, hardly a tourist anymore, and it is all true. Particularly the cash. Always carry cash. Every Japanese always carries at least 10000 yen about 80 dollars, just in case. But guys don't worry if you miss skytree this is really not a big deal. And if you want to see Japan, get out of Tokyo and Kyoto or Osaka, Nagoya, Yokohama. Visit the countryside and the old cities and the natural sites. Go to Gujohachiman or Yoron Island, or Hokkaido. And please if you are Americcan do not visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is not good to visit someone's graveyard especially in cities where everyone has lost members of their families on that day. Don't visit Iwojima either, just out of respect.
Hotspot is crazy. Let people that actually love the culture and know about Japan go instead of just going because it’s a trend 😂. God these influencers ruin it for people that actually respect and love the Japanese culture.
A few sentences for you to think about: We are all sinners and need forgiveness. Have you ever thought about it? Jesus is our Savior. He gave his life for us on the cross. Through our faith in him and God we have forgiveness for all our sins! Please read the Bible and think. The Bible is true, guaranteed! Feel free to check it out for yourself. Do it! Look at all the prophecies that have already been fulfilled; you'll be amazed! Everyone will be amazed!
I hope I've given you something to think about!
God bless you and your family!

“No eating while walking” is not really a rule. But it can be broken down in two rules, which are “Don’t block the way by walking too slow or almost stopping” and “Be extra careful your food doesn’t touch anybody around you”. Most locations with street food shops are tourist destinations and crowded. My advice is to be considerate for the others, as I’ve seen many tourists who fail to do so.
To save you some stress,I really would recommend a comprehensive pocket guide that will not only answer your questions but also deepen your understanding of Japan. Consider checking out " Sandra Duran Japan 2025-2026 travel guides" available on Àmazón. I found it to be one of the most thorough travel manuals lately. It was detailed and helpful for me, so I thought you might find it valuable as well.
God seeing this family is bringing back Vietnam flashbacks Western families who speak no Japanese letting their kids run around and do what they want because its "Mommy's and Daddy's vacation too and we don't want to be parents. "
Actually i remember as a kid visting Japan the first time in the early 70's and it was frowned on to eat while walking. As for using the garbage cans at the convenience store you should use it for your purcahses, some. Nit many have seating. Last time i was there in October i made the mistake of getting Mickey D's and eating it on the elevated patk area in Shibuya and all those cans were marked basically for the customer. I just used my card went into the train station and went onto a platform and used those cans.

I always eat whilst walking in Japan, and I really don't care if noodle-slirpers think it's 'rude'. #NotOnesToScoff
Okay why the title though, you are just stating things/rules to follow? Or is it because it’s so damn busy? 🤣

When in Japan follow their rules as simple as that
And most importantly bring your manners with you and respect the culture.
Mostly inaccurate and coming from Americans what can someone expect?!?
I just went to Japan and this vid is not correct at all. People are eating outside everywhere and walking.
Amazing info…👍🇮🇳
Hope to go one day

Many people eat and walk
気づかないだけで、ゴミ箱あリますよ。特に駅、大きなモールなど。市役所とかにも。コンビニ店頭にも。

Everything you said is true. Although, the no eating while walking rule isn't ironclad. I have seen many Japanese do it

Got real lucky with Skytree, but missed out on one ride at Disney Sea because you have to reserve Fantasy Land rides before you get there
