Place bright or neon color stickers on chargers, converters, or anything white that might blend in to white walls especially in bathrooms. This way they stand out for better visibility when you’re rushing out, doing a quick sweep of items and not accidentally leave behind.
Hello!! You are my fave!!! I got my coat with straps🩷 I’m always hot!!!! 🥵 I just saw a note online TSA is not allowing certain inserts in your shoes now and they’re blue.
Where do I find the rain coat???
I take two sets of (grey &/or black) long sleeved tops & pants (wear one & pack the other) so I have one to wear and one to wash. Then I take a bunch of different colored sleeveless tops to wear over my long sleeved top. Takes up a lot less room than matching outfits.
I only travel carryon since they lost my luggage flying to the UK. My first flight was delayed (plane coming to us was delayed and since I had checked a bag, they couldn’t put me on another flight) so I missed the connecting flight to England. Luckily I was visiting a relative prior to the concert tour I was going to see because it took them 4 days to get my luggage to me. If I had traveled just for the concert tour (like I usually did) it would not have caught up to me as I only stayed 1-2 nights in each hotel. Carryon is spectacular!
Meds … I package my daily meds in tiny (2”) clear baggies … I have pictures of each pill I take with the names next to the pill + a picture of all my Rx bottles (fills a carryon tote bag!) + a list of all prescriptions & the doctor who prescribed each one … So far, I have had no problems except one person questioned an OTC squeeze tube I had. When I explained it was my denture adhesive, he got kinda flustered and said, oh that’s medical, and sent me on my way.
Don't ever ever put your passport in a safe or anything valuable in a hotel don't ever do it this is the worst advice I'm absolutely gobs mode that I just watched that on this video. Almost every single safe has a default way of resetting their code you don't have to be a hotel employee to do it you can be absolutely anybody put in a couple of digits and you're in that safe and no one's the wiser. I had to break into a hotel safe to get my own stuff out when I forgot the code it just isn't that difficult so please do not under any circumstances put anything valuable especially your passport into a hotel safe. This is some of the worst advice I cannot and I'm serious I cannot believe I just watched that from a actually puts it wife of a pilot.
I did not know about luggage wheel covers! I just ordered a brand new suitcase for my upcoming international trip and will definitely get these to keep the wheels in shape. Thank you so much!
I went to Amazon in Italian (Italians use Amazon too) and bought an italian hairdryer and a flatiron, so they are made for the current and plug ins in Italy.
You are such a ray of sunshine😍
I brought otc nausea, ibuprofen, antacids, anti diarrhea and cough drops . They did make me wait while they looked at my meds , turned to give me a once over then eventually let me through. I have a fear of getting sick and not having access to otc meds
Where can I get a stripe bag like yours?? And I cannot find a backpack jacket!!!!
Can you suggest good converter where I can use in asia like Indonesia, japan?? Most of my electronics are dual voltage but I have a few that only can be use in the USA. Thanks.
You are hitting so many of the questions I have, like distilled water!
I usually travel light and can get away with not sending luggage, but this year I’m going to Europe and have a 3 day wedding there as well as 3 days of photoshoots and I have to bring wardrobe and hair and makeup for my models as well as photography gear, so I’m forced to check a suitcase. I’m nervous a lot sending all these stuff but I can’t take it all on the plane with me.
Too complicated.
Travelon
Capsule wardrobe! Basically, Garanimals for adults.
The hardest part to planning a trip, has been finding comfortable shoes. I have super wide feet. I have a closet full of shoes that did not make the cut when it came time to pack. They are fine for going to dinner or less than 2,000 steps but not for European travel. I wish Ecco brand fit, but just not wide enough. Happily I got a pair of Vivaia Urban Boots on a Black Friday sale. I tried them out walking a neighborhood that was lit up for Xmas. No foot pain after walking and standing. Then walked a 2 mile trail. All good. I worked to 5 miles and standing. These babies are going on the trip AND will be my airport shoes. They look a bit like Moonboots, but I don’t care. I’m taking only black pants to cut down on shoes to pack. My feet are not in pain after a long day and that’s what counts. They will be good for London in April and a Switzerland trip late fall. I hope there is another sale. I also got the pointy toe flats, same brand, to wear out at night. I got a pair of Chelsea boots, same brand, and while comfortable, they don’t hold a candle to the other ones. They will be used like the flats. So 2 pair of light weight shoes to pack…’done and dusted’. Love your channel Laurie.
Laundry hack: cut up a sponge and soak the pieces in Woolite. Keep in a plastic bag. Use one in the sink for soaking and scrubbing your laundry. It's lightweight and doesn't take up much room.
We went to the UK for a month and found doing it with a carry-on plus personal item day back was simple and worked great. I am pretty low maintenance though!
Unfortunately ,although the packing cases are brilliant, they do not alter the weight in your suitcase.
The reviews for the wheel covers are dreadful. It seems they all spring off at some point, and many before they even get through the airport never mind the plane flight!
I've been packing carryon only. But this year we're going to Germany, so I want to bring all the goodies I can not find here( or are tripple the price). So I'll be bringing a checked bag
I seem to manage to get the clothing down to a minimum, but it’s the cosmetics and a few hair things that end up taking up too much space for me to use a carry on. Thanks for your great videos.
I know people who own so many real luxury brands but they live in their mom’s house. I own a house, drive a Lexus, and I do buy regbags , putting money in my pocket.
Can i bring my power bank with lithium battery?
So does that bag on top of the suitcase count as the personal item, Singapore Airlines Premium Economy allowance is one item plus personal such as a handbag or rucksack?
Thank you for ALL your tips Laurie! I am going on 2 trips to Europe this year and I learn something every time I watch a video. I sometimes watch them several times so I don’t miss a single tip!
Great Tips as always! I've shared your channel with SO many travelers! Thank You!
Our smaller travel group is headed for France in April and includes each of us one checked bag along with carryon, knowing this is it smart to go this route for no fee and convenience or should we focus on doing a carryon only for fear of lost main bags? Thanks
When I pack shoes that don’t squish down flat, I always pack small items inside them, such as tightly rolled socks, undies, etc. to use every bit of space.
What I did was I have a bunch of necklaces and I have a couple of omegas and I use the slides instead of having to bring multiple necklaces jewelry is the one thing I tend to overpack and this last trip I way over did it on the jewelry. When I pack for Mary Kay conventions the hardest thing is packing the heels they are the hardest shoes to pack when you have to fly for business male travelers is when I fly I bring one black jacket a couple of black skirts and a couple of white blouses depending on the number of days we are away and that way I don't have to bring a whole bunch of different outfits for daytime meetings
That's the exact crossbody bag that I got
I have a crossbody bag similar to that one that I got through Kohl's and I can't remember the brand name but it was the perfect size for my trip
I had a question for packing supplements and vitamins that aren't prescription. I usually buy all of my supplements and my vitamins in bulk so to bring the original containers would be very happy. What is your recommendation for those kinds of supplements
I use 4 prescription eye drops and a few other meds. That pilot having their eye drops taken away would be a disaster for me!
❓❓ Do you have a recommendation for money belt for women? I am very uninformed – what are tips for using one when actually buying something? Thanks for all that you share!
Can’t find packing list in comments. Please tell me where I can find it
So I’m planning on taking a trip this year to Indonesia. The flight is over 22 hours. I have sleep apnea. How do I go about getting sleep on the plane?
I pack prescription meds in my purse, everything else I can buy
Silk underwear is essential if travelling where cold…scrubs are awesome for hot climates…neither take up much room.
