Dude was traveling broke, not how it’s done. Guarantee if he wasn’t broke his experience would be 10x it’s too stressful when you’re doing that always worrying about money.
It seems clear you lacked purpose.
I've never considered travel to be especially appealing. To me, the money spend wandering about the world is far better put to use in investing or something more fungible.
spot on – Im coming to the same conclusion. I know it's me, just wished traveling away would help. But it didn't.
He’s speaking faxx, traveling won’t make you happy unless you already are
5:59 wow it's a cabin near Adrasan on Lycian way in Turkiye. Did you walked it? I didn't find any video about it on this channel.
I walked its eastern part on May 2025 and western on November 2024. To me it's one of the best places to hike.
I landed in India with OCD. Nightmares ensued. 2 years later, I'm still in South Asia and enjoying being independent.
"No matter where you go, there you are"
I notice long term travelers carry a lot of issues. Traveling is just a distraction and when they need to go home they will be hit hard.
I know these digital nomads who are traveling for a lifetime. It's possible. They never go back home
At last found someone sensible in YouTube ….reality of life is the happiness within not external. Best wishes.
So basically traveling did help you find peace not ruin your life 😂🙏 very nice! Cheers mate
This might seem like a very religious "comment", but no lie I also dealt with being unfulfilled It was not until I gave my life to Jesus Christ that everything changed. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding. It is very hard to put it into words, but it truly cured me. For anyone reading this: Jesus has the water that Will NOT Leave you Thirsty. He is Truth.
We need to leave in order to come back to peace 😊 I left too and I changed a lot that is to that experience and environment did allow me to but until I looked inside I wasn’t able to recognise that peace within.
It’s funny because Ireland is one of my favorite places to visit from the US
I left an abusive family and went to university in Wales, it saved my life. This Is a healthy move. However it's unhealthy to move when the problem is internal .
Ruined indeed. Very authentic video.
Whats so wrong with Ireland?
If you are in a bad mental state, you can be on top of the world and still not feel joy. Like Kurt Cobain and many other great people, who seemed to have it all, yet it was their inner struggles that blocked them from focusing on the good.
So traveling saved your life after all. What I mean is, you needed to experience different perspectives and sometimes that's impossible while staying in the same place.
The trachings of Buddah would help you immensely. You dont travel or do anything with the intention of happiness. That's all within you.
I travel because I love this world and wish to see and experience it all in its uniqueness in person. Nothing more, nothing less.
I had the exact same experience man. Also Irish too, first time seeing your channel
Nice video, thanks for sharing. I was thinking, may be this all were a part of the process? I feel like I need to go somewhere, really far away. And I understand that it may be similar to what happened to you, but still what if that's a purpose of me leaving some day? Maybe that's why I need to leave, to find myself? I don't know, time goes and we will see
Have you visited Thailand?
not rly depressed here… hitting 50 soon and first time to other side of world… i think i just need to see places and talk with ppl… rather than sit on computer 16h day and sleep 8h lol… just gotta be open for everything… I think i am starting sort of 'new life' when hittin 50… no high hopes :p
Irish?
Damn, let me have $20
Travelling is not for everybody
"Wherever you go, there you are" <— Dr. Seus. This is what I see with everyone blowing THOUSANDS on the whole "Van life BRO!" and coming to Moab. I blame a few things: 1- family breakup/trauma/unresolved. 2- existential nihilism "dude bro I don't need any god to tell me how to live bro, cuz I wanna BE GOD myself dude bro/bruh/bro!" 3-Ontological disaster / conformity – everyone raised in westernized countries have been nudged/pushed/taught to "just fit in BRO!" "Just do whatever everyone else is doing BRO!" etc… Thus why you find few taking real creative risks/self reflection/discovery – as – most are trapped back in a time when their parents divorced, etc <—– Until people forgive/heal – they cannot make ACCURATE choices – but – most don't choose to do so – and then instead sit around wondering why they cannot find a decent girl.
There are other factors – how now they wanna control everything by selling you/others on fake existential threats – using both "lockstep" and "Clever together" <—- force/conformity/fear… Last thing the BETA Males with all the cards want are: Free thinking/creative individuals who don't need a stupid Tesla / F150 / conformist material/$$$ in order to find meaning via principles. This is why only sellouts accel in corporations/gov't jobs – the unhealed narcissist's of the world.
I want to travel because I’m intrigued by the variety of lifestyle, food choices, arts, crafts. I’ve experienced anything I’m interested in within 2 hours of my home. I want to explore and learn.
This reminds me of the quote “wherever you go, there you are”
