I just love how Carrie glosses over some of your jokes😂😂 thanks for this recap. I’m rearranging my wish list now. Cappadocia and Istanbul are ranking really high after seeing this.
I love Palermo. I like climbing La Rocca, but otherwise I'd skip touristy Cefalu. Each to his or her own!
Interesting.
I’ve been to Vietnam 3 times, I normally base myself in An Bang Beach which is 10 out of Hoi An & about 20 from Danang. Thanks so much for all you guys to on the travel front.
Love your honestly ❤.
I agree with you about Munich, it's good to see but it's a One and Done for me. Austria on the other hand is gorgeous and we'd go back. We also went to Puglia and we're saving that for a month or longer, settle in trip soon.
Istanbul is amazing, as much as I have traveled & seen, it is the most exotic destination & so much abundance. I stayed there in 2019 for 2 weeks on a solo travel. I could have stayed there much longer, I love it ❤
I am new to your channel but I am an official Groupy! You guys are awesome and as 60 year old world travelers we love that you are introducing us to new places. Yay
How do you pick your destinations? I love that you pick some off the track places that I have never heard of. Thank you
Both of you look so happy and healthy. A feat most your age do not accomplish.
Carrie must be your guide when traveling.
I agree with you on Turkey.
I started going decades ago and learned some Turkish.
Have not been to the other areas, but will go.
Merci for all your efforts.
What are your boxes that need to be checked?
You guys are locals. I am in Vancouver for now.
The way you two specify areas and neighborhoods is so helpful. I’m always seeking the “best” neighborhoods within a huge city. Consideration for the day to day living is always important. Thanks, just got back from Bangkok in January, humidity deluxe but lovely people and felt so safe.
I loved this video very much. As Bob said it would help if you add the time of year and which year you went to these great places. I wanted to know where you stayed for the one month in Chiang Mai. My wife and I will try to get the same Airbnb if we can. We had been to Chiang Mai about 33 years back. But we were there for just 2 days as we were part of a travel group. We would love to revisit Chiang Mai and stay at least for 2 weeks. Thanks for the lovely videos of these great places.
Are you considering traveling to the Philippines? I recommend island hopping in El Nido, Palawan.
What time of year did you go to Chiang Mai?
I loved Florence. Tower of Pisa wasn't real impressive though. Venice was amazing to see. Smells real bad of dead fish though! 🤢
First time watching and enjoyed it very much and well informed , thank you both ! 😊
Absolutely brilliant video. Love this channel
Do you tip for things like haircuts and massages and food servers in other countries like we do in the US? Thx😊
Great timing. I am in Montenegro atm and am making up my mind between Albania, Tirana and Durres and Istanbul and Antalya, Turkey. I have to agree on the best beer – Czech being my number one. Had a Budvar today :). I also found a great brewery in the heart of Vienna around Xmas time. It is called '1516'. The atmosphere is great. I sat outside as they had the heaters on. Food is very tasty and affordable. Salzburg was on my list but didn't make it. I must visit. I wonder if you considered Budapest. I truly enjoyed the beauty of that shiny town, its bridges and Danube river, as well as the great food and specialty coffees. Great and cheap public transport although their people don't speak English much and aren't that often friendly. It depends. I truly fell in love with this city and Xmas markets etc. I also love Bangkok with its friendly people and great food. I might go back on the way back to Australia. Not a fan of muggy days either. I almost fainted once or twice. I was also there during the rain period. I also forgot to say that I find Munich boring after day 3 and I went three – four times in the past two years. I'd rather go to a Bavarian village or to Alps. Thank you for your great travel insights!
Have to try tropea! I love Italy. There’s nothing like it!!
Puglia Florence Amalfi Rome cinque terre even Naples was fun.
Loved the polish beer! I'll have to make it a point to try the Austrian beer!
Have you been to Bali Indonesia?
I loved Salzburg and Istanbul. I like your recommendation on Puglia, I will have to check that out. What a great video, I am looking forward to see where you go in 2024.
My husband and I are planning to follow your footsteps hopefully in the near future, we live in Istanbul and would love to invite you out next time you visit. Best wishes❤
love these vids guys. we try to travel like you do. would you please make a video about your full packing style..especially which tech and gadgets you bring for making the videos.
Brian…………You definitely should watch The Sound of Music. Seriously! I watched it for the 1st time when I was 18. The college I was attending had a showing of it. It has been a favorite "classic" ever since. Also, If you haven't seen Fiddler on the Roof, it is another "must see" classic.
