What is wrong with the dress?
Listen to the agents before you get to the front of the line. I know in a lot of UK airports most of the time you don’t need to take out your electronics or liquids and don’t need to take off shoes (unless they are boots or bigger)
I believe that taking shoes off is not required any longer .
I have not been asked to take out toiletries for a few years. Domestic and international travel.
When I flew in May, I put my shoes in the bin, an agent removed them and put them beside the bin.

I flew out of the Nashville airport and with the CT scanners at TSA everything could stay in the bag. My bag went in one bin and my shoes in another. It was great!!
You don't have to practice this. Just keep organized and get on with it.

I should have done this practice with my husband. He held up everyone! And I'll give him a small handled bag for all the little stuff from his pockets.

Laurie, so you put your shoes, liquids bag, and electronics in the bin. Why can't you leave your personal ID and phone in your bag. Why do you have to put that in the bin. Also, I thought we can only have one personal bag. I see you have a big personal bag and cross body bag.
Here’s the biggest tip: get tsa pre check and don’t pull out anything or take off shoes!
The germs on the bottoms of shoes makes the bin system a bit gross.
I love this and have been practicing 'the practice' which helps with anxiety.
Best tip ever (maybe, Laurie’s had so many!): take your stuff to another area to reassemble, to put shoes on, put jacket on, repack items, etc. No need to do it right there at the belt in a rush, stressing out. Just take your stuff to the nearby benches/seats and regroup there. Much calmer!
