I've been to Walt Disney World in Florida before, but I've never been to Disneyland in California before. I like McDonald's breakfast foods. I occasionally eat 2 sausage biscuits and "either 1 or 2 hash brown patties". Sometimes, I squeeze honey barbecue sauce on my patties. Sometimes, I squeeze ketchup and mustard on my patties in stripes. I started liking the Airbnb resorts, which should be better than the hotels. I like Hilton Garden Inn. I usually went to the malls many, many years ago, especially in my childhood, but I don't go to 'em. I could order myself 2 corn dogs and a serving of fries at the food court so I could top 'em with ketchup and mustard. I only shop at the individual stores.
Sometimes, the foster family is not allowed to take the children out of the state. If the bio parents won’t sign a permission form to let them go, then the judge will likely have to override it and give permission. It’s not always a simple thing to do. But, if you leave them behind just because you don’t want to take them, it’s just so sad.
Love that you guys are doing this for Tristan, you and Aaron are truly amazing! Also, I always wondered if you guys pay for the older teens for everything when travelling or does it depend on certain things (I.e. job, hours worked, in school or not, etc.).

I was a foster parent and took my kids to Disney. I adopted the two kids. But if u had not been able to I would have still taken to Disney. I never went to Disney as a child but took my kids and went. I also went to Disney by my self after I graduated from college it was my gift to my self.

I know in some cases the bio parent or the agency has to approve for a the kid to go with the foster family on vacations. At least that happened when my Aunt was fostering a kid.

I don’t know the back story for Tristan’s situation, but I work in the field and sometimes the state or bio family won’t consent to the child traveling, especially out of state. I’ve had foster families really want the child to come but they are not allowed to bring them so we find respite. The families may have really wanted to bring Triston but just not allowed. They should have explained that clearly to him, but either way as a child he could still perceive it as a rejection I’m sure. ❤

This really hit me hard. I was a foster child when I was 10. My foster family promised to take me with them on their family Disney trip with their 2 kids. On the car ride to the Disneyland trip, they stopped at one of their family members home and left me there. It was extremely traumatizing to be left with more strangers by myself and with a broken promise they made me. Now that I'm 41, it still hurts my heart to this day. I can't believe that there are people out there like this. As a child, I was already traumatized by being ripped out of my family's care. Then strangers playing with my emotions. So, I definitely know how Tristan felt. It's heartbreaking 💔.
