Do those AirTag trackers work without any internet connection ? I canβt afford a monthly contract phone for limitless access
I feel like I'm carrying a piece of luxury art when I hold my H Q D U P S shandbag. The exquisite design and meticulous craftsmanship make it a true masterpiece.
Itβs important to note that those 2 million delayed bags represent only 1% of all bags transported. Videos like this make it seem much more dramatic than it really is.
And if you read the contract of carriage you agree to, you would see that youβre supposed to put your identifying info inside the suitcase like she suggests here.
I donβt feel like googling right now, but I know weβve heard of several countries that would chop your hands off for stealing, thatβs how Iβve been feeling with these thieves!!! People work for their things and some work harder than others, only to have thieves take what they want (belongings or identity), go get another job to steal from there too. π€π€·π½ββοΈ
Such a sensible, gal! WELL DONE!!
Iβm seeing lots of comments about actions to prevent bed bugs from entering oneβs luggage. Good advice to protect your bag but my thought is there is another priority to act on. There are bed bugs in the beds! You cannot sleep there! Any presence is not good, but If bed bugs are getting into your bag there is quite an infestation. π³
I placed an AirTag in my luggage and it was removed along with several outfits in compression bags. I didnβt get my luggage at my location until two days after I arrived . I wrote and spoke with Delta after not receiving it. I did the same regarding the missing items upon receiving my luggage and was unapologetically informed that missing items had to be reported within 24 hours.
Always check my bag, do not want to carry it onboard, but I donβt pack anything valuable or that matters in my checked bag. If it gets stolen, not desirable, but no great loss!
Why does she sound like Siri?
Your telling the handlers that YOUR NOT HOME!!!
BEST TIP. HIDE AN APPLE iTAG in your bag. You can track it to a few feet 24/7. I track on my phone the bag being loaded on MY plane. And after being sent to the correct baggage pickup area!!!!
The luggage sleeve is a great idea, but please encourage your viewers to wash and reuse. Surely we are all aware that single use plastics and throwaway polyester materials are very harmful to the environment and therefore us.
nobody stops or checks the tsa thugs.
Better to put your luggage strategically placed between your door and the wall to prevent room entrance by creating the desired "barricaded" effect, which you will love while all the bad guys hate ππππππππππ
Regarding your 1st point about having your home address on your bag being a tip for potential burglars that your home is empty β¦ that applies in spades for social media posts about your travels and vacations. If you really want to post that stuff wait until you get home. The news will wait.
I use a Sharpie and write my name and number on the in side of the suite case
Regrettably, it's tough to sit through multiple ads that do not permit skipping when clicking. Couldn't make it through the second tip. π
Here's a tip I do when traveling: I "air out" my opened luggage before packing at home to make sure nothing smells or any uninvited guests are inside while storing luggage at home. I also do this when I return home, and after unpacking, I spray the inside with Lysol disinfectant all throughout.
Thanks forcthis info
great video Frenchie. some new tips never heard before.
– it helps a lot to not only putting the address into the luggage but add the flight number and date as well. I use to take a business card and write actual and upcoming flight number(s) and flight date(s) on the backside.
– it also helps to not only put a baggage tag on the handle but to ensure that there is also one of these small stickers directly on the luggage
– luggage sleeves are simply a must nowadays, as luggage is rarely handled manually but mostly runs through machines and belts and nobody cares about what happens there. There are only few points where real people still throw it through the air. With these sleeves, You avoid scratches, keep thieves away and protect your luggage against monsoon rains (at least a bit) on the airfield. Meanwhile, some suitcases come already with a simple sleeve, or Amazon offers a discount when you purchase it along with your order, so just cross check when you order.
– best against bed bugs is IMHO spraying your luggage before use inside and outside with a bed bug contact spray. There are natural/herbal options available (usually based on neem oil or lemongrass), as well as halfway natural things like pyrethroids, which usually don't affect human health and keep most types of insects away. And if you use good luggage which has a tight lid (e.g. ensured by rubber lips) and keep your luggage only open for short times, you can keep it on your bed or everywhere else, there is usually no problem. If you use luggage which allows insects to crawl in even whiles closed, like maybe a good old rucksack, you might not wonder about even getting an ant infestation inside after keeping it for a couple of hours in the hotel's luggage room behind the reception (and believe me I know what I'm talking about … π
– I don't even remember when I saw a bathtub in my hotel last time, must be more than a decade back, but now I understood why they were all totally scratched inside. I do not even think it is worth the stress to put your luggage there in as bedbugs crawl up and let themselves fall down on your luggage, whiles cockroaches even know to fly (another funny bug loving to travel with you, just by the way) or love to crawl up through the sink, same as ants like to do.
I usually take a picture of my suitcase and carry-on together. If I need to identify my luggage to someone, and the tag is missing, I
can show them the pic on my phone with my carry-on that I'm carrying.
I also have unusual stickers on my suitcase. That's good for identifying at a glance.
Luggage sleeves is a wonderful place for bed bugs to hide.
Great video! Does TSA/Security have any issues with luggage wraps?
Also be aware of the local wildlife of the location in which you are staying. Bed bugs are one thing, but no one wants to bring home a scorpion either.
Upon arriving at our hotel, we leave the bags in the entryway and immediately check the room and bed for any bugs. In our many travels, domestically and abroad, we have yet to find any. We almost always stick with Marriott or Hilton.
I NEVER travel with a suitcase.π€ͺπππ
As a backpacker traveller, say thank u Megan! ππ
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etcβ¦
One of your best episodes ever (and youβre more beautiful than ever!).
This is why I just bought a zipperless hard shell carryon. Can easily clean it
My suitcase is always packed and unpacked on the floor. I spray it down.
Great video!
Just the outfits I disagree with. Those outfits are perfect for the destination but not the commuting part.
I recommend pants (yoga pants or jeans), a comfy shirt, close toed shoes, and a hoodie with inside pockets.
You need pants that cover your legs so you don't come in contact with seats that has seen thousands of rear ends. Some travelers might be on their period, have incontinence, or bowel issues. Do not wear shorts so you avoid direct skin contact with dirty seats at the airport or on the plane.
Close toed shoes are a must because airport floors are discusting and its impossible to keep clean with thousands of travelers coming in and out daily. Places like Mexico City have a Tuberculosis problem, so don't wear sandals or crocs! You don't know if other travelers have been there or not recently.
Get a hoodie that has inside pockets to keep your phone, passport, and wallet to prevent pick pockets going through your purse. Sometimes the plane gets super cold midflight and you will need something comfy and warm.
Hope this helps β€
Experience: traveling to and from Mexico multiple times to visit family.
I recently returned from an international flight. I did what you said in addition to a tracker a week later I still donβt have my bag. My business bag was in there with my phone number. Nothing!!
I get your point about using the baggage sleeves as extra security, etc. Similarly for airport shrink wrapping services. But what of the TSA when they want to open/inspect your bag? Will they just destroy the sleeve? I guess with shrink wrapping, you can have that done after the TSA inspection, but putting a sleeve on runs the risk of the TSA destroying it, no?
Have a friend that always takes off the wheels from her luggage and brushes them with a little dish soap and very hot water. Never had a problem.
Thank you
Great video. In addition to air tags I also use the airlines app to track our luggage especially when making a tight connection.
