It's because Amtrack is run by the government. We need more private train services. If it's subsidized, there's no incentive to make it nicer. I'm 55 and Amtrack trains look the same as when I was 5

As airplane travel becomes even more unbearable (unruly passengers, squeezing ourselves into smaller and smaller seats), and remote work becoming more common, train travel in The United States could see a resurgence. I hope so!!! I love traveling by train. So relaxing and comfortable. Thereโs room to spread out and the view is more interesting than the view from an airplane. I am crossing my fingers that Americans will support a more robust train system in this country.
America has many unique trains. ๐๐๐๐ I'd love to try it when making a holiday trip. Greetings to all American Railfans from Indonesian Railfans. Cheers! ๐

Don't take the train. I mean the trips will be pretty but the trains are gross. Especially after only a few hours.
Wait.. America has good train trips? Last time I rode the train it had 3 fucking layovers and it took 7 hours to ride a 4 hour trip.
